This week marks National Nutrition and Hydration Week, a campaign dedicated to highlighting the importance of good nutrition and hydration for health and well-being. At Danforth Care Homes, we're excited to join the movement by rolling out a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing the nutritional and hydration experience for our residents and staff.
We're thrilled to launch our new hydration menu, featuring a wide variety of flavoured juices and waters available at our bistro bars. Designed to tantalise the taste buds and encourage hydration, these refreshing options will be served to both residents and visitors, ensuring everyone stays hydrated and energized throughout the day.
As part of our commitment to providing the highest quality care, each of our homes have nominated a staff member to be our ‘Nutrition & Hydration Champion’. Going forward these champions will act as a committee working with the culinary team and residents to gather feedback and share these suggestions with each other at forums encouraging collaboration across all of our homes.
Chef Theo Michaels will be sitting down with residents and home managers to discuss his first visit and cooking events at one of our homes. Stay tuned for more details as we prepare to launch our culinary adventure with Theo, bringing delicious meals and memorable experiences to our residents.
Join us as we celebrate Nutrition and Hydration Week, from us and all our residents, cheers! 🍽️💦 #NutritionHydrationWeek #HealthyLiving #DanforthCares
