We have a few residents who have a particular liking for hats!
One of our residents once owned over 50!
With this in mind, the staff at Heath Lodge have decided to create a ‘Hat Wall’. This will be in an area of our home with an empty wall, which Kevin our wonderful maintenance officer! will put up lots of hooks. Each hook will have a different hat hanging on it. We hope to create a visually stimulating display which also allows our residents to express their individuality by wearing the hats as and when they please!
We have been blown away by the generosity of the local community answering our plea for any unwanted hats. We have been getting regular donations from people who are kindly making our idea a reality.
We will keep you updated on the progress of our ‘Hat Wall’. Some of our residents (and staff!) have had a sneaky peek at some of the hats that people have kindly donated!
