Heatherton House Brews Up Warmth & Generosity with Macmillan
The team at Heatherton House, recently came together to host a heartwarming Macmillan Coffee Morning fundraiser. The event not only raised funds for an important cause but also created a warm and welcoming environment for residents and their loved ones, making it a memorable and meaningful occasion.
A sense of excitement filled the air at Heatherton House as preparations for the Macmillan Coffee Morning were underway. Residents, along with children from the local area, engaged in creative activities to design and print decorations. These beautifully crafted ornaments transformed the lounge into a warm and inviting space, setting the stage for a meaningful coffee morning.
The gathering of the Littleover locals created community bonds as residents extended heartfelt invitations to their families and friends, encouraging them to join in the festivities. It was a testament to the strong sense of community that thrives at Heatherton House.
Residents took great joy in baking delicious cakes for the event. The act of preparing these treats was not just a culinary endeavour but also a way for our residents to express their creativity and share their passion for baking with others.
The first Macmillan Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. During Heatherton Houses own Macmillan Coffee Morning event, they raised an admirable donation in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
At Heatherton House, the team believe in fostering a sense of community and making a positive impact on the world around us. The Macmillan Coffee Morning was a representation of these values, reminding us all that even a simple cup of coffee can hold the power to create change and make a difference in the lives of others.
