Heath Lodge Wishing Trees Bring Resident Dreams to Life
At Heath Lodge Care Home in North Norfolk, a delightful new initiative has been unveiled, spreading joy among residents. The launch of the 'wishing trees' marks a beautiful addition to the nurturing environment of the care home. Thanks to a generous donation by Bianca, two enchanting trees now stand proudly at Heath Lodge, waiting to carry the hopes and dreams of every resident.
These wishing trees, situated upstairs and downstairs, offer each resident the chance to dream. Dee, a valued member of the Heath Lodge family, created the adorable handcrafted envelopes in which residents write their heartfelt wishes. Each envelope, upon completion, is delicately hung on the branches of the tree, becoming a symbol of optimism and joy.
Joyfully, the care home has already fulfilled its first wish. Ann, one of Heath Lodge’s cherished residents, had always yearned to visit Redwings Horse Sanctuary. Her dream came true with a visit to the sanctuary, bringing smiles and warmth to all those involved.
The creativity and thoughtfulness behind the wishing trees are a testament to the dedication Heath Lodge invests in the happiness and well-being of its residents. This innovative project promises to bring to life the dreams of many more residents, fostering a sense of community and contentment in their home.
