There was excitement for the staff and residents of Heath Lodge this week as they were the first home in
the Danforth Care Homes Group to install Oomph Wellness for their residents.
Oomph is an award-winning software tool designed specifically for care homes. It gives Heath Lodge 24-
hour access to its Wellbeing & Activities platform. Oomph has been created by experts in well-being,
mental health, dementia, and nutrition. It is a fantastic tool to use to enhance the wellness of residents and
to support them to live full lives.
The residents at Heath Lodge have wasted no time in getting to grips with this exciting new tool, which can
be seamlessly integrated into each resident’s care plan.
Care Plan Manager Laura Johnson is delighted to have the Oomph tool to support her care plans. “We are
so pleased to be using Oomph! Our residents are all individuals with different interests and needs. By
including Oomph in our care plans we are able to support everyone. The variety of activities means that
Oomph caters to all; there are interactive elements and events, creative activities, physical classes,
wellness activities, and much more”.
Emily Slater, Northwest Regional Manager added. “Our key objective is to provide quality care whilst
supporting the best quality of life for all our residents. A tool like Oomph balances and connects these two
areas beautifully. Today I have seen how keen our residents were to embrace this new software. Residents
have been engaged and entertained. On day one, we have seen everything from the serenity that the
mindful and relaxation elements added to the fun and energy that some of the chair classes created. Long
may it continue.”
