Celebrating Fun and Fitness at Primrose House with Tigers Trust
Primrose House recently had the pleasure of hosting Tigers Trust for their second visit, bringing excitement and joy to our residents through sport and educational activities. Tigers Trust, a dedicated charity aiming to enrich lives through sports engagement, orchestrated a memorable day filled with games and camaraderie.
Under the guidance of Tigers Trust staff members Sue and Mccauley, all our residents enthusiastically participated in adapted ball games, tailored to ensure inclusivity for everyone, regardless of ability. The activities included nostalgic elements like retro t-shirts, historical balls, and engaging programs that sparked lively conversations and fond reminiscences among our residents.
The benefits of these activities were abundant, promoting a sense of empowerment and choice, enhancing balance, flexibility, and coordination, while also boosting muscle strength, fitness, and mobility. Moreover, the engaging afternoon helped maintain emotional well-being and mental sharpness among our residents, fostering a sense of community and shared achievement.
One of the highlights was a fascinating quiz about Hull, where our residents demonstrated impressive knowledge, especially during discussions about the retro t-shirts dating back to the 1960s. The afternoon concluded on a high note with overwhelmingly positive feedback from our residents, underscoring the value of Tigers Trust's visit in enriching their lives with fun, fitness, and meaningful interactions.
At Primrose House, we continue to embrace such enriching experiences that uplift and unite our community, ensuring every day is filled with joy and cherished memories.
