A Day Out at Wentworth Garden Centre for Montagu Hall Residents
Montagu Hall has been buzzing with excitement as residents recently embarked on a delightful excursion into the community. Accompanied by the dedicated staff members five residents set out on a memorable journey to Wentworth Garden Centre.
Before their departure, Chef had lovingly prepared a packed lunch, ensuring that the group would have plenty of sustenance for their adventure. With appetites satisfied, they eagerly explored the various attractions at the garden centre, beginning with a visit to the animal enclosure.
Amidst the rustling leaves and chirping birds, residents had the opportunity to interact with the animals, whether through feeding them or simply exchanging friendly greetings. Their faces lit up with joy as they made new furry friends and shared special moments with the creatures.
Next, the group ventured into the garden centre itself, where they immersed themselves in a world of vibrant flora and inspiring greenery. As they perused the aisles, ideas began to bloom for the upcoming Gardening Club activities.
Accompanying the residents on this outing was Lee, the Lifestyle Manager, who eagerly participated in discussions about 'Danforth in Bloom' Competition. With his creative input and enthusiasm, the residents felt inspired to cultivate their own green spaces with passion and dedication.
To conclude their excursion on a sweet note, the group gathered at the cosy Coffee Shop. Sipping on hot chocolate and savouring fresh strawberry tarts, they reflected on the day's adventures, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and newfound inspiration.
Danforth Care Homes are currently welcoming residents, If you or a loved one wish to find out more information or come along, explore the facilities, and meet the staff, you can do so by contacting the enquiry team.
